I decided that today was wash day for the dogs. Not that they are exactly dirty and smelly, but since it's over a year since their last bath their coats had built up quite a layer of grease and while this is good for them it means that if you are petting them or hugging them for any period of time your hands end up very greasy. Since I started feeding them on Orijen they really have not needed washing due to smelliness.

Poor things though, while they are being washed they tend to look at you with those baleful eyes as if they are asking you "why are you doing this to me?". However, the delight and pleasure that they get out of being dried and brushed afterwards really makes up for it. They dry very quickly due to their wiry coats, so all they need is a good brisk rub with a towel and that's the real fun part.

They'll be pleased to know though that that should be it until sometime next year!
