My cat Spangle is a very playful and ambitious, but not very expert Hunter. Since we live in the country, surrounded by fields of crops, she obviously gets great satisfaction (and entertainment) by going out into the surrounding fields to hunt for mice, voles, and anything else small and furry that she comes across.

I used to put food out on a bird table for the wild birds that visit my garden. However, because of the hill-top situation we live in, we get the full brunt of every gale that comes in over the Irish Sea. (It's the price you pay for having a lovely view.) As a result, the bird table was always getting blown over. Anyway, Spangle, one of our cats, learned to climb up and sit INSIDE the bird table, which was a bit off-putting for the birds.
